Scam!!! We ordered a $1700 pool and now nothing. Im pissed off and going to the police, plus contacting my bank to trace where the money was taken from. This site should be illegal.

Mercari is a very poorly run internet site they don't take care of there buyers and are only thinking about the seller which is backwards because anybody can post stuff for sale look at Craigslist but if you don't have any buyers then there's know one to sell to my personal experience has been offal I believe that they well fail because they value the wrong people a lot of the seller are running scams and mercari backs them up because of this I lost a lot of money and know one from there customer service ever returns emails they just hide I want everybody to know how dishonest this company is so they do not end up like me (out a bunch of money)please don't not put your money in harms way stay away from this huge scam of a business

This place sucks. I ordered a stroller for my disabled daughter, and never delivered nor can I find the tracking .????????????????????????????????????????

I received an item that was damaged and reported it to Mercari, sending them pictures of the damage and the original packaging. I requested a return and they declined it. It’s all about the income they receive from a sale, not about the customer. You receive a canned email that may not even fit your scenario. There is absolutely no way to contact the company. I DON’T recommend selling items on Mercari!!

Mercari is a scam. Sellers sell you clothes with photo images and then when you receive them, they are three inches bigger than the seller stated. The dress I received was also poorly altered. I sent photos to Mercari (you have to send at least 6 photos to even request a return) as photographic proof and they refused to let me return the dress. They also stopped communicating and wouldn't let me review the seller. This means that the company will only let good reviews on the site. BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

easy to use but customer service not great, they favor the buyer and leave the seller without recourse if dishonest (even if admitted by buyer and through pictures) rating is left. supposedly buyers can upgrade rating but the “help” center does not give clear instructions on how to do that. buyer has little vested interest to dig hard to get answers because they have already received their favorable rating by this time and there is no ability to publicly “reply” to the rating left by the buyer. very unfair!

Well I had a seller that sold me counterfeit Tiffany jewelry. To the box to the bag to the pouch it was horrible. And of course Mercari is not gonna do anything about it!! I not knowing it was counterfeit at first went ahead and rated the seller. That same day two hours later I started looking at it it just didn’t look right so I did my homework. I feel like because she titles it Tiffany bracelet that she is selling counterfeit Tiffany bracelet making them out like they’re real authentic and they’re not. I just feel like company should be held responsible for that. I will never do anything with that company ever again or posh Mark or actually any of those kind of companies. !!!!!

As a seller and buyer, I have been 99% pleased. The 1% have been buyers who try to scam you. I had sent new picture frames packed so well that the buyer claimed the glass was broken, and Mercari gave them their money even if the items had plexiglass. Another placed an order on a Saturday and canceled on Monday while the item was in transit. Buyer. seller says she is new to Mercari and since item dropped in blue box to head to the distribution center decided to cancel because there was no update on order yet. Item arrived and then claimed was damaged, and refunded the money. The majority of my buyers are honest.

Dispute resolution simply non-existence. Buyer claimed wrong item shipped and resolved automatically to buyer's favor. Buyer shipped back different item (junk), and after I submitted proof, still resulted in boiler plate wording telling me to submit accurate photo and description next time. Next time? I don't think so. Googled the buyer name and address using mylife.com and found that the buyer is actually a crook.

We have been sellers on Mercari for over a year with over 200 positive reviews. We had a buyer with now reviews or anything (which is fine)purchase a $200 item from us. The buyer opened a return and sent us back socks. Mercari sided with the buyer. We lost the money and the item. Mercari is the app scammers thrive on because Mercari doesn't support their sellers. Needless to say we don't trust the site any longer we're a small business and can't afford to be scammed out of inventory.
